Katana: An ancient Japanese sword commonly used by ninjas and samurais
alike. The ninjas are the only enemies in Nolf2 that use katanas, so be sure
to pick one up if you don't already have one. The katana is a good weapon to
use as a last resort or just for the sheer cool factor. And the factor runs
high when you slice up the bad girls. Katana is a great weapon to take out
your foes in silence.
Tulwar: Very much like Japanese katana, but the tulwar has an attack
speed twice that of the katana. Yet, it is slightly less damaging than the
Katana. The tulwar can be found the beautiful country of India, but make sure
to watch the bad guys... not the scenery.
Mascara Stun Gun: This little gadget is the best way for Cate Archer
to stay beautiful and deadly at the same time. This stun gun has a very short
range - that's why it's a melee weapon - but is rather effective to harmlessly
dispatch enemies if you don't have any tranquilizer darts.
Vindicator Sportman's Crossbow: The Vindicator Crossbow is one of the
few weapons you'll have to take down your enemies in the Japan missions, that's not
to say it's a good weapon. The crossbow is silent and deadly, which makes a
great combination. A scope can also be mounted on a crossbow, and it features
three different types of ammunition. Bolt - Poison Bolt - Fire Bolt - Explosive
Bolt.
Shuriken: More commonly referred to as 'throwing stars', these little
fellas are the ninja's method of killing you from a distance. Pretty much every
ninja carries a few shuriken, so they aren't that hard to find. They fly at
a relatively high speed and stick in most anything, but the enemy is what you
want it to stick in... Shuriken are good to use if you are out of bolt ammo
or just feel like being a ninja. But they aren't very quiet because it usually
takes multiple shuriken to kill a foe, so your enemies might have a chance
over crying out before their death.
M1921-A1: The M1921-A1, most commonly know as the 'Tommy Gun' or 'Thompson
SMG' is one of the three available sub machine guns in Nolf2. The M1921-A1
has a 50 round drum magazine and is chambered for the powerful .45acp FMJ round.
The M1921 is used only by the French mimes and is an excellent weapon to use
to take out a group of mimes that are just waiting to meet their death.
Gordon SMG: The staple sub machine gun of Nolf2 is none other than
the Gordon SMG. The Gordon has a 30 round 9mm magazine that is feed from the
side, instead of from below like most weapon. The Gordon is a rather powerful
weapon, but is also quite loud... which isn't always the best quality in a
weapon when you need to be quiet and deadly at the same time. And for that
reason, there is another variant of the Gordon for your trigger happy desires.
Silenced Gordon SMG: There really isn't that much difference between
the two weapons, except this version comes equipped with a flash and sound
suppressor for those stealthy missions.
AK-47 Assault Rifle: Mikhail Kalashnikov sure knew how to make firearms,
and his expertise is shown in the AK-47. Possibly one of the most identifiable
weapons in the world, with the IMI Uzi coming in second. The AK fires the 7.62x39mm
round from a 30 round mag. The AK-47 is slightly inaccurate when you are a
'Novice' in the Markmanship Skill category, but once you gain more skills,
the AK because a very deadly and accurate rifle. Make sure to use this one
whenever you've got it.
Balacov Combat Shotgun: Apparently the cousin of the immensly popular
Balacov Corrector, this shotty is no less powerful or deadly. This pump action
shotgun holds 8 shells, and has to be pumped each time after being fired. The
best strategy is to constantly move while firing at your enemies. This shotgun
fires a regular 12 gauge shell and an explosive shell that... obviously, explodes
upon impact.
RFA Series-4 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle: This has to be one of the most
the most useful and powerful weapons in Nolf2. The RFA Series-4 is mounted
with a 4x scope and has a 5 round magazine. The mag size is quite small but
the power of this rifle makes up for it. The .308cal round can drop the average
foe in one round to the chest or head. However, you do have to chamber a new
round after each round fired, which takes a litte time, but not too long.
Micromissile Launcher: This handbag of death was developed by Santa
and his entourage' of nerdy inventors. Not seen until near the end of the game,
this baby is worth it. The Micromissile launcher is probably a little bit of
'overkill', but, hey.. does that matter? Didn't think so. Only one round can
be fired and then another round is loaded, so there is a little wait before
you can unleash your carnage upon H.A.R.M. guards.
McAllister .32acp handgun: Cate's classic Sheperd Arms P38 has been
replaced by the McAllister. The two sidearms are pretty much the same except
for a magazine change and that it fires a different round. TheMcAllister uses
the .32acp/7.65mm round - the same round used in James Bond's PPK - and sports
a 9 round magazine. Regular FMJ rounds and cyanide tipped are the two different
ammunition types the McAllister uses. This handgun can also have a silencer
attached.
