" Action Vault: Would it be safe to assume most of the Contract J.A.C.K. team worked on one or both of the earlier titles? And when will this one be ready for release?

Craig Hubbard: It's mostly the NOLF/NOLF 2 team with a few new members, although some of us are dividing our time between Contract Jack and a new project.stage for NOLF 2

Jon Gramlich: We have completed major work on the game and are now concentrating on fixing bugs and making last-minute tweaks. I cannot comment on an exact release date, but we are still on track to go gold this fall."

"How user friendly will the mod tools be?

We put a great deal of effort into documenting our public tools release for Nolf 2. Contract Jack will include updated versions of the same tools and tutorials."

Action Trip interviewed Craig Hubbard, Lead Game Designer with Monolith. 

Action Trip: Contract J.A.C.K. is a stand-alone project and doesn't require N.O.L.F. or N.O.L.F. 2 to be played. Just how lengthy is the entire game? How many levels, and roughly how many hours of gameplay?

"Craig Hubbard: While the game is a stand-alone title, our goal was to create a fun game roughly equivalent in nature to an expansion pack. This also means it will ship initially with a lower price point ($29.95 to be exact - 2Lions). The game is about 15 levels, some of which are pretty big. Based on our playtesting, we're guessing it'll take somewhere between six and ten hours to play through the game, depending on your skill level and whether you're searching for secrets."

What makes Contract Jack an expansion to NOLF 2?

Contract Jack is technically a spin-off of the NOLF franchise featuring a new protagonist and a much stronger emphasis on action. It's a standalone title - meaning you won't need NOLF 2 to play it - but we're calling it an expansion because it uses the same basic technology and some of the same art assets from NOLF 2. It's also shorter than a true sequel would be.
